#14 Three Rivers Pulls Away Late to Defeat Crowder
Crowder College dropped a hard-fought road contest Wednesday evening, falling 68–59 to Three Rivers College at the Libla Family Sports Complex in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
The Roughriders (14-6, 2-2) stayed within striking distance throughout, but Three Rivers used a strong fourth quarter to pull away late. The Raiders outscored Crowder 16–11 in the final period to secure the win.
Crowder trailed 21–17 after the opening quarter before both teams settled into a defensive battle in the second. Each side scored 11 points in the period, sending Three Rivers into halftime with a narrow 32–28 advantage.
The Roughriders responded coming out of the break, matching the Raiders point-for-point in the third quarter. Crowder put up 20 points behind balanced scoring, but Three Rivers kept pace, maintaining a 52–48 lead heading into the final 10 minutes.
Despite continued effort on both ends, Crowder struggled to close the gap down the stretch. Three Rivers capitalized on second-chance opportunities and timely baskets to hold off the Roughriders’ push.
Aubri Wilson and Camdyn Hart led Crowder with 14 points apiece. Kylee Cole added 11 points, while Abbey Green and Anja Sodergard chipped in six points each. Lexie Henry pulled down a team-high seven rebounds as Crowder finished with 28 boards on the night.
